and I had been tossing up ideas for what I should get her for weeks.
It's her first birthday and it had to be special!
So as you do, I naturally went to Mr Google.
Now this probably did me more harm than good as I also
have a little girl the same age and as I scrolled, I spent a descent chunk of that time mentally purchasing items that I would be lusting over for another several weeks, not to mention I'm super easily distracted and a simple task of finding a birthday pressent turned into a Facebook/Pinterest/ 10 episode revenge marathon- whoops.

Anyway I had narrowed my options to some personalized books a
little couch and of course some clothes, but I still couldn't decide.

None of these seemed right, she was one, I only get this birthday once and I wanted it to be something that she would be able to appreciate as she gets older. What's something that I could give her that was just for her, that nobody else would get her and that had my own personal creative touch?
Well with a wee bit of Pinterest inspiration , I came up with this?
Her own growth chart! What other time in your life is more perfect to start recording your growth than your first birthday.
I was stoked with how it came out!
What did you get your kids for their first birthday?
